Vice President, Firmware Engineering
Robert Warden has a strong track record as an engineer, entrepreneur, and leader with over twenty years experience in applied product development of large scale digital networking and complex embedded systems. Robert co-founded GMR Technologies, a startup working on an embedded impact detection device for use in football and other helmeted sports. Prior to GMR, Robert co-founded Laurel Networks, Inc. which created a new product category of edge internet router, and as VP of Engineering he grew the Laurel R&D group to over 100 highly skilled engineers with a strong history of successful systems development. Following the sale of Laurel Networks to ECI Telecom, he played a critical role in integration and international coordination of ECI's multiple R&D and business units located in Israel, India, and China.
Prior to Laurel Networks, Robert was one of the first engineers hired by FORE Systems, Inc. He helped to grow the engineering department from a startup to over 300 highly qualified engineers with the company's revenue growing to over $1B in seven years. At FORE Systems, Robert Managed the Systems Engineering Group, responsible for overall product specification, development, testing, and sustaining engineering. He led or was involved with the design of five generations of ATM switches.
Rob holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS degree in Computer Science Engineering from Bucknell University.
